This week, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) Director Terry Gray joined ecoRI News’ Blab Lab podcast to discuss how recent federal actions are affecting state environmental programs.
Gray outlined the impacts of research funding cuts, the termination of grants for local farm assistance and environmental justice, and a congressional resolution revoking waivers that allowed Rhode Island and 16 other states to set stricter vehicle emissions standards. Gray also highlighted efforts to build relationships with the new U.S. EPA leadership.
